Dextran Gel G-10 is a bead-shaped gel that contains a large number of hydroxyl groups, making it easily swellable in water and electrolyte solutions. The G-type dextran gels have varying degrees of crosslinking, resulting in differences in their swelling capacity and separation range. The swelling of dextran gels is generally unaffected by the presence of salts and detergents.
