Alkaline Phosphatase
Description:
5'-Phosphodiesterase (5'-PDE) is an enzyme that nonspecifically hydrolyzes phosphodiester bonds under mild conditions. It belongs to the class of phosphoric diester hydrolases and can catalyze the hydrolysis of phosphodiester bonds between the 3' hydroxyl and phosphate groups in single-stranded DNA and RNA molecules, resulting in the production of the four 5'-nucleotides.
